Terms of Entry - 24sevenchallenge.co.uk

The following terms and conditions apply to 24seven.

Please note that all individuals and organisations will be requested to sign up to the terms and conditions when they apply to participate in 24seven. By signing up each participant agrees that they are aged 18 years or over.

1. Acceptance: The staging of 24seven is conditional on CLIC Sargent receiving a minimal number of 200 entries to make the event cost effective. As an acknowledgement of acceptance participants will receive a unique user ID and password. Participants will also receive an information pack prior to the event.
2. Payment: Event participants must pay in full (£75 or £225 for a team of three) at the time of submitting their entry.
3. Sponsorship: All fundraising for 24seven should be completed via www.24sevenchallenge.co.uk. If participants are unable to access this website, then any sponsorship monies raised should be sent to CLIC Sargent at Abbey Wood Business Park, Filton, Bristol, BS34 7JU, with the participant’s name and 24seven written on any correspondence. If participants are sending any cheques they should be made payable to CLIC Sargent and have the participant’s name and 24seven written on the reverse. If a participant cannot raise the minimum sponsorship of £300 for the event at least one week before the event and the participant fails to make up the balance, then we reserve the right to cancel the participant’s entry to the event. All sponsor forms and monies must be forwarded to the charity or returned to the sponsors.
4. Refunds: Participants withdrawing from the event will not be entitled to a refund. Cancellation will incur a charge of 100 percent of the full entry cost.
5. Event cancellation: It may be necessary to cancel or postpone 24seven. This will be done summarily or in consultation with participants depending on the conditions. In the case of cancellation, CLIC Sargent, its partners and agents would seek to give a prompt refund of the entry fee to participants within one month. In the case of the event being rescheduled, CLIC Sargent, its partners and agents may set refund limitations at 50% of the entry fee. Participants will be responsible for any cancellation charges on transport and accommodation and any other costs they may incur.
6. Event changes: the organisers reserve to right to change, amend or substitute the planned activity content of 24seven for safety reasons. Any such change will be communicated to all participants but shall not entitle them to any refund (full or part thereof).
7. Children: Children are not permitted to take part. All participants must be over the age of 18.
8. Photographs: CLIC Sargent, its partners and agents will take photographs during the event for the purposes of advertising, fundraising, display, exhibition or promotional use in connection with the event and other services of CLIC Sargent. This might involve their use in printed material and on the internet. By taking part in 24seven participants are acknowledging that their image may be taken in a group or individual context. Participants will waive any right that they may have to inspect and approve the finished product or copy that may be used in connection with them that any CLIC Sargent appointed photographer has taken.
9. Liabilities: There are risks and dangers inherent in participating in 24seven. In order to take part, and minimise these risks participants must:
   a. agree to abide by the rules of the event. These will be made available to participants prior to the event and available on the day.
   b. understand that they have a responsibility for their own health and safety
   c. acknowledge that they are physically capable of participating in and completing 24seven and that they should seek medical advice from their general practitioner if they are in any doubt as to their physical ability to take part in this event
   d. understand that they are entering this event entirely at their own risk and CLIC Sargent, its event partners and contractors, shall not be liable for any injury or loss that might occur as a result of their participation, including any loss of personal effects or any public liability
   e. understand that CLIC Sargent, its partners and agents recommend that they have suitable personal, equipment and sports injury insurance cover in place to cover participation in 24 Seven
   f. wear the appropriate safety equipment and clothing at the event as advised and provided by the organisers
